BATCH 031 SINGLE MALT SCOTCH WHISKY – BENRIACH – 16 years old

It starts with a lot of Ratafia Champenois influences; raisins, and more dried fruit. Red fruit too, and then mainly strawberries. The nose is very attractive. Some honey sweetness and vanilla. This all is followed by a little bit of ginger and cinnamon. Later also lime appears to the nose, and red apples to finish on the palate amplified by the Ratafia Champenois touch… “The Dumangin Champagne Twist”…. A bouquet of ripe fruit, a hint of coffee.

CHARACTERISTICS: Dried fruit, but almost all the red fruit is gone. The red apples are still here. A few spices, like cinnamon and a pinch of nutmeg. Some chocolate and caramel too. It ends with a hint of coffee. The finish is long. Some sweetness from the Ratafia, combined with coffee and toffee.
